Pregnancy

pregnant4If you suspect that you are pregnant please book an appointment with one of the doctors. If this is confirmed the doctor will refer you to the community midwife who will undertake antenatal checks. The community midwife cares for mothers before and after delivery and holds a weekly clinic in the surgery, usually on a Tuesday.

Cervical Smears

Smears are by appointment with the practice nurse. Patients are contacted by letter from NHS England when they are due for their next smear. Patients with abnormal or repeat smears will be contacted by the surgery or NHS England for a follow up appointment. Smears should be taken mid-cycle, so please bear this in mind when you make your appointment.

Contraception

Family Planning Advice and treatment is available by appointment with a doctor or the practice nurse

Specialist Clinics

asthma_inhaler4Asthma, emphysema, diabetes, heart disease, hypertension, epilepsy, thyroid and mental health checks are all undertaken by the practice nurse.

Minor Surgery

Is arranged by appointment with the Doctor and practice nurse.

Travel Vaccinations

Immunisation for travel abroad, please complete a travel form (available from reception). You should complete this form at least 8 weeks before you travel to enable our nurse to confirm your immunisation needs. There will be a charge for holiday immunisations - this will be discussed with you at the time of your appointment with the Practice Nurse.

Additional Services

In addition to the essential services provided by the practice, we also provide: childhood vaccinations and immunisations and flu immunisations.
