Repeat Prescriptions

Rawnsley Surgery operates an Electronic Prescription Service (EPS) - what does this mean for you??

• Request your repeat medication in the usual way i.e. in person at the Surgery, on line, by letter or by fax
• You will need to nominate the Pharmacy where you would like to collect your medication from (this can be done at either the Surgery or the Pharmacy of your choice and needs to be done in person)
• This is a FREE SERVICE

Please allow 72 hours before collecting your medication.

**IMPORTANT**

It is important for you to nominate a Pharmacy as soon as possible as your prescription will remain in the Surgery until it is collected and this may result in a delay in you receiving your medication.

Prescriptions Charges and Exemptions

Extensive exemption and remission arrangements protect those likely to have difficulty in paying charges (NHS prescription and dental charges, optical and hospital travel costs).

The NHS prescription charge is a flat-rate amount which successive Governments have thought it reasonable to charge for those who can afford to pay for their medicines.  Prescription prepayment certificates (PPCs) offer real savings for people who need extensive medication.

Please allow 48 hours, excluding weekends and Bank Holidays, for your request to be processed. Any problems please telephone the surgery.
